Dr. Polyoka was born in Canada and moved to Maryland at a young age.  She then got her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland College Park before graduating from the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine in Scotland in 2016.   

Following graduation, she completed a rotating internship in Springfield Virginia, and fell in love with the area.  Dr. Polyoka and her husband now live in northern Virginia with their neurologic, rescue German Shepherd, Arielle.  In her spare time, Dr. Polyoka enjoys running, hiking, playing board games, visiting local vineyards and travelling with friends and family. 

Dr. Polyoka believes strongly in the human-animal bond, and that our pets are members of the family that deserve the best quality of life.  Dr. Polyoka is looking forward to making long-lasting relationships with our furry friends and their owners.
