Dr, Susan Felter

Dr. Sue Felter was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD.  She received her undergraduate degree in biology at Cornell University and then received her veterinary degree (VMD) from University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994.  After graduation, Dr. Felter moved back to Silver Spring and began her career at a small animal practice in Baltimore, where she practiced until the summer of 2025.

In the summer of 2024, Dr. Felter moved from Silver Spring to Brunswick, MD, where she lives with her husband, her two cats and her senior rescue dog.  She is a team lead for the Tristate Team of The Street Dog Coalition, a national nonprofit that holds street clinics to provide free veterinary care to the pets of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, and has worked hard to bring this service to Frederick County.

When not working, Dr. Felter enjoys sports (especially hockey), going to the beach, and visiting farm breweries/wineries.
